Greetings to those that hath come hither. I'd just like to set down a few guidelines, not so much rules as... guidelines. Enjoy! Please?
Hmm... control the language, please. I wish not to turn anybody away, but language is a thing that can have deeper meaning than one might realize. You can play around, but put limits on what you post (Glances at sensor) or I will.
Please reframe from flaming. If you wish to flame someone, do it via email at your own risk. And don't flood anyone's inbox! There is no reoom for email spammers here... (really shouldn't be anywhere, I think. Many people would agree there, or at least I hope so anyways.)
Nonsense? Insanity? I can't ban that... no, but when you take nice fun insanity and turn it into board destroying garbage, I may act. But really, keeping everything completely serious would be... hypocritical... (No details) and just plain boring. You simply need specify when creating a topic or during the course of posting if you want it to remain absolutely serious or not. If you want every post to pertain to the topic entirely, say, without a serious part and a playful part, just say so. For example, we have a topic about tapioka.
Response: I think tapioka is good.
EXP2: I think tapioka is good... Would you like some pie?
EXP3: Bananas are your friends.
I think you can figure it out. Sorry... that sounds a bit... ugly, I guess, just ignore it if it disturbs you.
I advise against giving out any personal information. This is the internet, folks, and if you give out information that enables someone to locate you or access something like your credit card or email, trouble is likely to follow. And I also advise against acting on personal information given, as it could be (Corny sounding, but literal) a trap. Basic rules of communication! Follow them!
Now, if you survived that bit...
If there are any boards you feel should be created, perhaps to keep topics organized and to separate different types of posting, just suggest it to me on this thread. I have no intention of making people suffer (Though that has been known to happen by accident). If you have any concerns just voice them! Unless of course you have a reason not to... If for some reason, you don't feel right posting a suggestion on the board, you can use the PM option in the author collumn.
Oh, and don't hesitate to register... it's free, and you will receive no spam! I have registered with I think five proboards message boards, and all I have ever received is my activation email. Anyone else can back me.
Now that I have wasted all of this space...
Let the posting begin!
