Well... the only thing I can think of that would have caused the problem would have been his computer when there was an assignment on it... but that seems strange. Though I did have a powerpoint presentation get corrupted after being ran (and probably edited) for FIRM ... advisor... last year... hence the can't-win-science fair-ness.
