So I was going to do an audio transcript of the next issue of Firebird, but I decided I didn't feel like it. But I want to do something before I go to bed... although I should go to bed about right now.

And somehow that reminds me of the telemarketer that called last night and how I need to go to a website concerning donations for... something, I don't know, I was just woke up by the call and didn't really hear what it was for... ... *hopes Jesus will get here soon*

But... there are more people that need to know him first... so that this entire world isn't more or less darned to Hell.

Somehow I think God is easily capable of making it happen in the right way... although figuring out how is hard. Oh yeah... the two witnesses. *wonders when they'll show up and if we'll recognize them for who they are before it's too late... unless by some chance they wind up being us* *Thinks God is too fair to burn people for eternity because they didn't have a chance, although he is certainly fair enough to give the evil their dues*

Well, let's just look at America for instance. I know a lot of atheists, and not all of them are the non-hostile, kind people type.
Scene from the SPS lounge: Me : *looks at computer screen after someone put up a new desktop picture* Shakeel : Is that Jesus using a tractor beam to eat a baby? Everyone but me : *laughs* Nick : Hey Wolf, why aren't you laughing? Me : I'm a Christian... it's just not all that funny to me. Several people : *make Christian jokes and more or less discredit my intelligence* Me : *doesn't defend self*
The modern human is too focused on facts... things that they can see and measure and calculate. God is none of those. So they don't believe in God. I find that as a very poor outlook on existance. We're here and then we die and then nothing? Sounds wasteful... and unimportant... and all kinds of things.

Oh yeah, I didn't respond to this because I couldn't get those blinking phonecalls to end.
Though there isn't much else to say. Other than most people don't see the difference between knowledge and wisdom. Science is knowledge; God is wisdom, but wisdom that no mortal has? ... I think I'm done now.

*looks at above post* I think I know another reason why I decided I didn't want to do physics anymore... probably wouldn't be taken too seriously in physics if I don't believe in the Big Bang...
|
|
|
Post by cajones on Jan 22, 2007 6:50:38 GMT -5
The big bang doesn't make sense, especially with this whole accelerated expansion talk. In fact... the big bang had to be pretty offset to get more than just a sphere of plasma for the universe. Physics needs free thinkers, otherwise there's a chance that something will bring leaps in understanding, but would be overlooked because of stuborn refusal to let go of the old conclusions.

The Linking Crystal was basically an equivalent to the Potara Earings... I never used them because... well, for Firebird, the idea is dumb.
