First off, it requires either vast amounts of effort, luck, or memory to make powerpoint games exceptionally cool, but they can still be fun to make and play. (And the ease and stuff makes it kind of dull if you do it yourself... you'll see what I mean) (Oh, and I have a friend with RPG maker and I so wish I could use that... ) Meep, it'd be easier if I wrote a tootorial over this... ... but anyways, you first need the pictures and ounds you're going to use, obviously (Unless you plan to construct it all from clipart and autoshapes)... Now... the type of game / gameply you want is important for what you want next (I don't think macros work during presentations, unfortunately. If they do I'd be thrilled to learn of it.) It helps to have things planned out, but since you can go back an edit it's ok... The simple way: There are ways to have multiple choices in what you can do during the slide show. This depends if you'd rather use the mouse or the keyboard and what kind of stuff you'd like to worry with. The easiest way to make choices is with hidden slides. You can hide a slide by going to the slideshow menu (Alt+D) and pressing "H" or selecting "Hide slide". Note that If you duplicate a slide that is hidden, the duplicate will be hidden as well. Now you've created a second option aside from going straight through, accessible by pressing "H" during the slideshow in the slide before the hidden one. ALl you gotta do as add the stuff you want to each Meep, I can't make this sound right with a short explanation, but I've been wanting to right instructions for this for the past three years so maybe I'll do that and post it on my web site. There are many things you can do to turn slideshows into games, but you do have some rather annoying limitations (Some of which can bo overcame). If macros can be used during slide shows (Using keyboard commands other than just text), it'd make it a whole lot customizeable. No one I've asked knows anything about how you can use macros in powerpoint though. ... I'll work on that now I think. ^_^ I can make it sound cooler than it is (And probably more complex...). I'm not sure just how you work with RPGmaker, but I know that Powerpoint is easier than programming and would be rather easy if I had all of the pictures that I need... *Incompatent camera person! There's a story in that...)... So maybe I'll have it up before you get back as not to make it seem bigger or more complex/worth it than it is. I so said that wrong... but heh. *sollutes**runs away*

Ok, I've uploaded some crappy instructions on it... but they kind of... suck. www.geocities.com/dbx20xlrkjj/powerpointgames.htmI probably left out a lot and it's not very organized (Or clear for that matter) but it gets the point across I guess in more space than I'd have here.

LOL It's ok... confusion is the source of lots of things in the world for good and evil... *cringes*...
Something I'd like is a graphics program that allows you to create images using a combination of coordinates and equations and junk and all... basically you can express the entire picture accurately with data without having to learn programming.

Hmm...
Oh and here's something else you could do with powerpoint... you could draw a maze type thing using shapes and stuff and make it so that there are traps and walls and stuff. You'd use the mouse to get through and you can set the dangerous stuff to ""preveous" if the mouse is over them.

Yeah, I've done that before as well... but the things were animated and it was more of a get through before it's too late kinda thing.
I'm not sure that linked stuff works especially well during other animations.

Heh. It depends on whether or not your computer likes to do things to get on your nerves or not and how frequently. And patience, can't forget that.

I've got one of those computers that simply must lock up every other day, usually at a most inconvenient time. Waiting while threatening before finally choosing to restart often helps... though I'm not sure what that'd do for your situation.
... I'm going to hope that it's resolved by now.

Heh, I noticed. And you are lucky. The thing about mine... it likes to lock up the most when I'm trying to either shut down or restart. ...

That's the way it is for some people; technology likes to give them trouble when they need it the least. Apparently it's never really came to Gotenks when he's doing something, and so problems are avoided. That's the problemm with technology; it keeps getting better and better, and if you don't keep up you're left moving at the pace of a snail and still crashing. But do they really expect you to spend a thousand dollars eery year on a new computer or new software?

If they didn't they probably wouldn't make it, but then again there are some people that'll sit with something that's slow and likes to screw up (Like me) just because it works and all... and then some people name their computer Jeb and spend more time talking to jeb than using Jeb for programs and data... If bill Gates had a dollar for every time Windows crashed... *counts*... oh, he does!

The last time my computer locked up was when my sister was on it! darn her. Some site she went on put tons of crap on my computer. And then my cousin screwed it up, and then I accidentily forgot to Enable my Virus protection after Defraging my computer, so my computer had lots of viruses on it. But it's ok now...

It's that way with all things! Meep! Crazy balance! Like yesterday... I was unusually excited and hyper... and the balance couldn't have that! So what happened? I fell in a hole! (And nearly lost my soul! Fortunately, the band director glued it back together...).

Heh, thanks.
You can remain anonimous if you wish; it's up to you.
And I added links to all of the boards in the header because I got tired of having to go back to the main page every time I wanted to switch. Sure, there's that box at the bottom, but it automatically starts loading as soon as you select one instead of waiting for a confirmation like "enter" or a "go button". If there's any inconvenience, just say so. ^___^. ...

You'd be amazed at the mental capacity of a banana. (A skeptic did this experiment, so you know there's some authenticity.)
Simple enough... Hook a plant up to a polygraph and... think something evil! Think of burning it or eat another just like it or something... watch what happens to the detector!
