It should be possible. I mean, we have microphones. Instead of sending information, why can't they just be designed to resonate... in such a way that sound can give us a decent amount of mechanical energy--and mechanical energy is easily converted into electricity.

Meh. The Physic Lab TAs (aka physic nerds) were talking about an EM-driven piledriver... And then they got to railguns... *remembers similar topic from sitting in the hall one day in 11th grade ... in the dorms at ASMSA*

Official Burninator? *bows*
We have a rail gun that we're building with the SPS. I don't know why I'm saying we... I've never worked on it.

Heh. I get the feeling that physics people are interested in railguns as a general rule... Well... I don't think about them much, so nya. *Considers knighting the official burninator*

The railgun, as I am told, is not yet finished, so I might join the project afterall... although I doubt I would talk about it day and night...

Yeah... Hmm. Somehow it's good to know that you can do physics and programming without being a nerd. Actually... *wonders if there's any place open that sells Nerds*
