By now it's been announced and such, but as this is the "info and anouncements" board...
There is now a Jeqo Wiki designed to work with the forums. (There is a wiki here, but ... it's not working too well).
This wiki has been programmed pretty much from scratch, so there are still a lot of bugs to clean up and things to fix/add.
For now, a tool bar has been added so that the vertical placement of the wiki page can be changed (and the entire article can be moved off screen), and there is a (all be it primative) search feature.
Any thread in the wiki can be treated as an article (and if there is no content, it will be copied in the article layer, which... might screw things up visually), or a related discussion or whatever.
To enter an article, one would type [edit]<article text>[/edit], replacing <article text> with ... the article text...
Whatever appears in the last edit on the page will be displayed in the wiki layer. And if you want to change something without rewriting the entire thing, it's more than possible to quote the last person to post.
Currently the revisions in threads don't "collapse"; that is, they are still visible in the thread under the article. That will hopefully be fixed... at some point...
BB formatting tags still work. There is an easier way to link to wiki articles though; just type the article name between double brases: {{Jeqo}}, for example, would link to the Jeqo article. Any links that aren't found in the Jeqo wiki will redirect to wikipedia. The only drawback to this method is that it doesn't pick up new articles automatically, so an admin (Hmm... that's me isn't it?) must manually add links to the database. Please don't create Jeqo-related articles at wikipedia, unless somehow we get big enough to warrant an entry (Meaning, the squareroot of thousands of fans... to the fifth power or something...).
So... what else do I need to say? *opens the thread for questions, comments, suggestions, or criticisms*. ^_^.
