    The Games page has been updated with a new look and a new game. It also comes with a search feature (which doesn't have much to work with yet! LOL...).

and hey, you don't even have to register to post here, just in case you didn't know that. Only the members area and the mod area are restricted from guests. So let's make htis place look alive!

Now... I have described what I'd like for the new site if it ever happens. yay... Right now, the thing on my mind has to do with what would happen with new info and the main page, Etc. Ahem... *sigh*... this feels rediculously formal... O.K. Basically, if there's going to be a thing on the bottom for news/updates, then would the main page remain unchanged? On the one hand, that'd make it much easier to work with; we'd only have to worry with getting the intro fitted once, and if we're adding links it'd be to the bottom anyway and wouldn't effect the layout. On the other hand... that seems wrong. Kind of makes it get old, maybe? It just seems like the main frame should have something of updates, but it's looking more reasonable for the design to keep the control bar and main page the same while adding updates to the little thing at the bottom. Am I overlooking some simple law of practicality? Meeep... why am I wasting your time with this... ... and I seem to recall having vast (Yet vague) ideas for stuff for Reniatretni, but can't remember much of it right now. Poo... maybe I just need sleep... Yes, must... fix... patterns... ... Oh, and suggestions are always welcomed, but of course, I don't wish to bore you. ^_^ ... and the character pages, I don't know what I want to do with them. I'd have profiles somewhere, but they'd be off in their own place. These'd be sort of like... well, maybe like personal pages? Hmm... I can't make it sound right. Use your imagination! I can't quite make sense of all of that without the designs you sent out, but it seems well enough. Basically, what you want to think about is what will get people to come back. It seems that most of your traffic will probably be people that hear about the book first, which may help with those that come across the site by accident. Of course, then you'd need a slightly bigger community, but with the paperback currently available only online (Or atleast that's how it seems), what you've got now is acceptable. Basically, try to keep with your general theme, maybe an attractive layout. It might be worth it to get a few people to work on building it together. With your main page now, it's clear that you're trying not to turn away any crowd. Even though you might want to... reword... some of that you have now, that is a nice idea that you can probably handle. You also need to be careful that in making the page attractive, you don't overdo load time. Well... that's all I have for now. You'll be happy to learn that I have finally got a domain! We must again wait for propigation. (And we all say: "Sure, we've heard this before!"). And I must say the same! I have, however, learned much since the last scandal went arye, and it appears that the control tools with the current host are much nicer than the last, though I hae yet to test them to their fullest. Once I check over a few things with the site on my computer, I'll see if I can upload it to their temporary place, and hopefully it'll turn out much better than last time. (The site I think looks better than last time anyway). So at the moment, here's what I have left to worry with: I'm not going in depth with the site's contents just yet, since we're still working on everything. I need a page for the planet Seva. I think I can make this the way I want with powerpoint, but... meh. The page would be difficult to fit into the horrizontal range of a web page, so I either make multiple pages and connect them or I just surrender to geographical contradictions. For this page, I can probably just make the star port a big cube, since the design is rather simple visually. The skywalk will be where there's trouble, I'm almost certain of it. Next we go down to the lake/river/trees part (I did mention that in the design I sent you guys, right?). I'll probably end up using clipart for the trees and making the water with "elaborately arranged shapes" (Hahaha). I think I'll put a labeled arrow below this to indicate that we can move elsewhere. Seva will be the most interactive and RP-like place in the site, I think, mostly because it's the most elaborate of the planets as far as description (We see much more of it in the book than the others).. Now what will be in any other areas is still up for deciding, so any ideas are appreciated. ... bored yet? I also need the planet Yrekcom. Basically, I just need my buildings, preferably big skyscraper looking things. As I've said; Grandure and glory. It'll probably want to look like a look down a street or something, you know, things getting smaller toward the center like a culdasacck really. Pretty much everything below the sky needs to look kind of dark, just because that's the way I'm seeing it. Now, can I find those buildings in clipart? Don't know. I won't bother elaborating on what I need there because if you really care than you'll look for the e-mail (I actually think I posted the e-mail on some webpage of mine that I can't remember the url of at the moment_. I also need reniatretni and the galactic center, but I'm still working on what I'll put there. I'd also like to put an observatory area. Perhaps I'll put a separate folder for what's in there... it's basically just a bunch of space info and crud. You'd be amazed how incapable I was of finding a pic of the milky way. That's rather pathetic, huh? Pretty much everything else is stuff I have to do, like character profiles and the like. I can't really decide how to arrange things on the "earth" page (When you click the ship on the galaxy map). I know on that I'd like links to the Jeqo page at geocities, the message board, the links page, and probably other stuff... I was thinking of havin a pic of the hubble telescope that links to the nasa web site or something like that. I may put in a page devoted to what is planned for the future, but we'll worry about that when there's something to worry about. TK: So when you redid the pics for the map, did you have it all saved as one picture? With hotspots for the links, of course... but meh. I'm not sure what the problem with the links was; I've pasted images into word like that before and they've translated into image maps just as they do in ppt. And judging by judging by the sourcecode, we have the same versions of word. :=/ == Anyways, I have corrected the size of the text on the buttons in my file and adjusted the background. I'll force my parents to look at it this morning and then we can compare it to the one TK sent and determine what to do with the two. I do think though that I'lll end up needing the galaxy pics at least (Heh, things are too close together on mine, aren't they?)
